Large-bodied is Jupiter, and also tawny haired and eyed, of Kapha nature, intelligent and proficient in all Shastras.”
-‐Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra: Nature and Form of the Grahas, 24Jupiter Atmakaraka will make a person forever dedicated to the acquisition (and sharing) of knowledge. Their interests tend to fall into the realm of philosophy, teaching, spirituality, religion, or something they consider to be a higher purpose. Whatever the field, these are the people who are compelled to share their knowledge and love to teach.
Jupiter as Atmakaraka doesn’t necessarily mean a person has their beliefs “all figured out.” The condition and placement of Jupiter and other influences will reveal more about their particular belief system, but you can be sure that they will devote a lot of time to their beliefs or much of their life will be exploring different ideologies and sharing their discoveries with others. The Soul’s desire for a Jupiter Atmakaraka person can be to find their own truth regarding their spirituality (or in some cases, lack thereof).
Another notable thing about Jupiter as Atmakaraka, is that they’re good at contemplative type of learning, or knowledge that is self-revealed. Of course, they will love to read and learn through other means, but what distinguishes Jupiter from other planets is that there is a talent for contemplating and coming to their own realizations.
Jupiter Atmakaraka: Natural Born Teachers
If Jupiter is your Atmakaraka, you really need to be in a position of teaching others. Even if you are not a professor, you should work towards obtaining some kind of instructing role in your career, either training others, working in the education department of your company, or giving tours, etc. Some people may find you preachy or that you assume others need to be taught, but really it’s just that you find it hard to contain your knowledge. When in the right atmosphere, such as in a mentorship role or put in front of a group of students, you are a brilliant and inspiring teacher.
Jupiter as your Atmakaraka can give a large frame, you’re likely to be a little taller than average (with gender and ethnicity taken into consideration) and a good solid bone structure.
As the planet of purpose and inspiration, following a path of purpose and doing work they are inspired to do feels like the only option for the Jupiter Atmakaraka person. Not everyone follows their inspiration, but Jupitarian people need a sense of purpose, so they take action that leads to their deeper fulfillment. You may need to “relax” at times, and realize that not everything in life needs to follow some grander purpose or analyzed philosophically.
In short, Jupiter Atmakaraka people are natural teachers who are most motivated when they feel like they are contributing to the elevation of mankind. It is your mission to help reduce the suffering caused by ignorance.
