Exposure to your hidden and unexpected vulnerabilities and weaknesses
When it comes to transits that occur during tumultuous times, add Rahu (the North Node) transiting Moon to the list. This article is mainly to introduce the video I made about this transit (embedded below). So, I’ll be giving a quick summary here, but please give the video a watch for more information.
Occasionally, I’ll do a card pull to help add symbolism or describe the effects of some astrological situation. When I pulled one card to represent this transit, the 9 of swords was what came up. Out of the 76 cards, it was truly the perfect card. You can see a person being kept up at night by intrusive thoughts – their peace of mind has been taken away by a myriad of problems. Although this transit is not going to be 18 months of difficulty, it certainly brings unrest and emotional challenges – particularly when Rahu is within a few degrees of the moon.

You won’t necessarily be miserable, but there’s definitely a lot on your mind
Indeed, you’ll find many similar themes while Rahu transits moon, such as:
- New stresses and worries (things that rob your peace of mind)
- Shadow thinking/anxiety
- Discontent
- Grief
Something big to overcome
This transit will definitely, without a doubt, give you something big to overcome. Unlike all the other grahas, Rahu is an asura, a “demon.” Some going through this transit will be confronted with their demons in a big way and given the opportunity to overcome them. Others will experience their “worst fear” or events that throw them off emotionally – but these are all events that bring new emotional strength by the end of it.
